Standard Child Care First Aid: 2 Days
This course is a comprehensive 2 day course offering individuals emergency child care in a home or work setting but also in-depth knowledge about other potential injuries or illnesses that may or may not be life- threatening.

- The Red Cross
- Responding to emergencies
- Check, Call, Care: Scene and victim management
- Choking
- Circulation Emergencies: Heart attack, stroke, life threating bleeding
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillators) training
- Breathing Emergencies: Asthma, Anaphylaxis
- Wound Care: bandaging, cuts, burns, bruises, splinters ETC.
Day 2:
- Head, Neck, and Spinal Injuries
- Bone, Muscle, and Joint Injuries: Splints and Slings
- Sudden Medical Emergencies: Diabetic emergencies, seizures, mental health crisis, Childbirth
- Environmental Illness: Heat and cold related illnesses
- Poisons: Carbon monoxide, plants, alcohol and drugs, stings and bites.
- Childhood Illnesses: Infection, when to call guardian, fever, medication.
Caring for children: Toy and Equipment Safety, Escape plans, Safety awareness, and responding to disclosures.
